Syrian singer Assala Nasri revealed that her jewelry case was stolen from her bag at a hotel in Detroit, the morning after a concert on her U.S. tour. She said the missing items included pieces bearing her late father’s name and image, as well as gifts and jewelry tied to personal memories, and stressed that the emotional loss outweighed their monetary value. Police came to the hotel, but Assala said she had received no new information for about a week. The value of the stolen items and the identity of those involved remain unknown, and she intends to continue her artistic work.
