Girl admits needle stunt
A 10-year-old girl in Rhineland-Palatinate admitted putting a needle inside a piece of chocolate after watching a video on TikTok, amid investigations into metal objects found in Halloween sweets. Police are looking into whether some incidents may be linked to social media posts, but said there was no reliable evidence of a coordinated effort. They also noted that injuries to the mouth had been reported. Police advised people to check sweets, avoid suspicious items, keep them with their wrappers and report them to the relevant authorities. They also urged the public not to share unverified information.
