The Civil Defense Department at the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management reiterated the warning about the dangers of swimming in the Euphrates River due to its rising water levels and increasing currents, especially in the provinces of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor. They emphasized the importance of monitoring children, securing areas adjacent to the river, and taking preventive measures to ensure the safety of residents. Emergency teams continue to carry out field interventions to address the effects of rising water on local areas and vital facilities. The ministry also reported that three children drowned during the past week as a result of swimming in the river.
