Egypt refuses Syrian woman’s nationality

The Egyptian Ministry of Interior issued a decision prohibiting a Syrian woman from obtaining Egyptian nationality. It clarified that the deprivation was due to security reasons. Mrs. Mai Jameel Al-Zahr, who is married to an Egyptian, was not granted citizenship in accordance with the decision published in the Official Gazette.
