Deir ez-Zor Euphrates flood estimates

The article concerns the implications of the flooding of the Euphrates River in Deir ez-Zor Governorate. The rise in water levels resulted in 15 fatalities and 22 drowning incidents, in addition to damage to over 20,500 dunams of agricultural land. It also affected 84 water stations, healthcare services, and public facilities. Government efforts, including emergency teams and service agencies, have been focused on containment and reducing the damage. Indicators suggest that the situation has stabilized starting from early June 2026.
