President opens rehabilitated Rastan Bridge
President Ahmed Al-Shar’ open the Restan Bridge in northern Homs after its rehabilitation. It is one of the most vital arteries connecting Syrian provinces and supporting the movement of people and goods. The bridge suffered extensive damage due to shelling before being repaired through a collaboration between the Syrian Civil Defense and the United Nations Development Programme. The project involved installing structural elements, repairing the pillars, and improving infrastructure, allowing the bridge to return to service and strengthen the connection between the agricultural and industrial regions of Homs and Hama.
