Clashes and Attacks in Khasham
The town of Khasham in Deir Ezzor experienced an escalation in security tensions following armed tribal clashes between two families. The conflict involved the use of medium weapons and RPGs, resulting in several injuries and the burning of civilian houses, which threw the residents into a state of panic. Reinforcements from the Ministry of Defense and security agencies arrived to contain the situation, amid a decline in the role of judicial and security institutions in resolving tribal disputes, as chaos intensified and gun proliferation spread throughout the area.
