Ministry clarifies Hassan Aqqad summons
The Syrian Ministry of Information confirmed that the invitation to activist and content creator Husan Aqad to visit the ministry was made following a complaint submitted by journalist Mousa Al-Omour concerning defamation and insult. The statement indicated that the outreach was part of a dialogue and understanding effort aimed at resolving the conflict amicably before resorting to legal procedures. Aqad’s scheduled meeting was postponed to the following day. The statement clarified that the communication with him was solely to address the complaint and was not connected to any other content he had published on social media. Aqad had previously stated that he had been threatened and was facing pressure due to a campaign criticizing businessmen and their financial commitments.
