World Environment Day in Homs Promotes Eco Awareness
Today, on International Environment Day, Homs celebrated with an awareness campaign and activities to promote the importance of protecting natural resources. These included clean-up campaigns and the implementation of a household waste sorting system—"wet and dry"—aimed at confronting environmental challenges such as drought, pollution, and climate change. Officials emphasized that environmental protection is a collective responsibility that requires everyone’s participation, especially educational institutions and local communities, with a focus on tree planting and waste reduction.
