Cultural event marks 2013 displacement anniversary
The residents of Al-Qusayr organized a popular sit-in and a cultural event to commemorate the displacement of the city in 2013 after it was occupied by regime forces and Hezbollah militias. They recalled the details of the bloody operations that led to the displacement of thousands of residents and the circumstances of forced displacement. The event featured speeches, testimonies, and theatrical performances highlighting the suffering of the community, emphasizing the importance of documenting these events to uphold victims' rights and promote national reconciliation. This commemoration comes after the city's liberation and underscores ongoing efforts towards reconstruction and cultural and social restoration.
