Fire damages shops at Damascus Hal Market
A large fire broke out at the produce market in the Zbelltani area of Damascus, causing the flames to spread to several shops amid thick smoke rising in the city. Firefighting and civil defense teams worked to contain the blaze and prevent its spread, facing difficulties due to the market's layout and the abundance of stored materials. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and no final tally of damages or injuries has been released. An investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances of the incident.
