Emergency Ministry Raises Readiness Amid Rising Fire Incidents
The Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management has raised its preparedness level following an increase in the number of fires to an average of 180 fires daily over the past week, coinciding with rising temperatures and the harvest season, which heightens the risk of fires. Minister Raed Al-Saleh emphasized that protecting lives and farms is a top priority, and that the ministry is implementing a national plan to reduce risks and improve response efforts. The plan also includes increasing awareness and stressing the importance of citizens following safety guidelines throughout the summer season.
