Whale Timi's remains to become biofuel
The humpback whale known as "Timi" passed away after weeks of rescue efforts on the shores of the Baltic Sea. He was found dead on the beach of the Danish island of Anholt. His body will be disassembled to extract oil for biofuel production, with tissues and bones converted into energy materials for cement manufacturing, while some of his bones will be preserved in the Copenhagen Museum. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of his death.
