Dutch court sentences woman for enabling son's ISIS join
A Dutch court sentenced a woman to seven years in prison for assisting her son in joining ISIS in Syria in 2014. She allowed him to participate in fighting at the age of 14, which constitutes a war crime and inciting child recruitment. The woman took her family to areas controlled by the organization in central Syria and remained there until her deportation back to the Netherlands in 2024, where she was detained upon her arrival.
