Interior arrests GID assistant director
Counter-terrorism forces have successfully detained Major General Qais Hassan Al-Abed Al-Rajab, the former deputy director of the General Intelligence Directorate (State Security) under the previous regime. The arrest was made due to his involvement in serious violations against civilians in the Al-Hajar Al-Aswad neighborhood, the cities of Daraya and Moadamiya, as well as several areas in Daraa Province. This operation follows meticulous intelligence monitoring of his movements and attempts to evade legal accountability. Currently, investigations are ongoing in preparation for his referral to the judiciary.
