Apple glitch reveals user email addresses
A security researcher confirmed the existence of a serious flaw in Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, which allows attackers to reveal the actual email address linked to an account, despite the feature's design to protect it using temporary addresses. Apple was informed of the vulnerability last June, but it has not been fixed yet, even though the company promised to address the issue in June. This prompted the researcher to disclose it to protect users. The flaw is considered dangerous because it could be exploited to access personal data and link it to other information, posing a threat to users' privacy and security.
