WhatsApp tests new online status feature
WhatsApp has launched a new feature for iPhone users through the beta version, where a small green dot appears on the contact's picture when the user is active within the app, aiming to make it easier to quickly know their status. The green dot appears on the chat information page and disappears when the user goes offline, with the app maintaining privacy for users who have hidden their "Online" or "Last Seen" status. The feature is still in limited testing and is expected to be gradually rolled out over the coming weeks.
