WhatsApp tests new feature to remind users of friends' birthdays
WhatsApp is testing a new feature in its Android beta version that allows users to receive birthday reminders for contacts, aiming to make sending greetings easier. The feature relies on displaying a list of upcoming birthdays and sending notifications when they occur, but it requires collecting birth dates and verifying ages, which raises privacy concerns. The feature is still in development, and Meta has not announced an official release date yet.
