Roblox has launched a new tool called "Build" that allows users to create interactive games and experiences directly from their smartphones using artificial intelligence technology, without the need for programming expertise or the "Roblox Studio" software. The tool relies on a textual description provided by the user, and the AI transforms it into a prototype that includes the environment, characters, interactive elements, and effects, with the option to quickly modify them. Roblox aims to empower non-professional users to develop games by making the design process easier and reducing technical barriers, especially in markets that heavily rely on smartphones. The tool will enter the "public alpha" phase starting July 28, and it will be limited to users aged 9 and above, with restrictions on publishing games for those over 16 years old, as part of the company's efforts to reduce misuse and ensure platform safety. This development reflects a shift toward turning AI into a partner in game creation rather than just a helper tool, with expectations of increasing the number of games and opportunities for new creators.
