Israel reports transfer of uranium equipment to Jebel Al-Fasad

The article explains that Iran transferred thousands of centrifuges into deep tunnels inside the Mountain of the Axe during last fall, heightening international concerns about Tehran’s ability to rebuild its nuclear program after previous attacks targeted its facilities. The site, located near the Natanz nuclear facility, is designated for uranium manufacturing and enrichment, situated at a depth of 90 to 137 meters beneath solid rock, making it a more challenging target for airstrikes. Intelligence indicates that Iran continues secret nuclear activities at the site and is deliberately strengthening its defenses. Experts warn that this complex presents a significant challenge for any airstrike and may be used to conduct clandestine nuclear activities or store uranium enrichment equipment. U.S. President Trump suggested that the Mountain of the Axe is a potential target for a major airstrike, while Israel is pressing Washington to take firm action to prevent Iran from reconstituting its nuclear capabilities.
