Galaxy Z Fold 8 introduces new foldable design

Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy Z Fold 8 during the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event in London. It is the first new generation in the Z Fold series to focus on a shorter, wider design, making daily use easier without sacrificing a large internal screen. The device features a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner display, with improvements in performance, battery life, and multi-tasking experience powered by AI technologies. The phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, up to 1 terabyte of storage, and a 4,800 mAh battery that supports both wired and wireless charging. The starting price is $1,900. This design change reflects a market trend toward foldable phones with dimensions closer to those of traditional smartphones, enhancing user experience and increasing the efficiency of the outer screen.
