Samsung has introduced a new improvement to the Privacy Display feature on the Galaxy S26 Ultra in the fourth beta of One UI 9. This feature allows you to hide the content of videos in Picture-in-Picture mode from side angles. The update enables users to dim only the video content while keeping the other screen elements visible, with privacy protection maintained when moving the window to different locations on the screen. The feature can recognize other interface elements like the Edge Panel to prevent the protection from affecting them, thus enhancing privacy without disabling essential UI components. The functionality needs to be activated separately for each app that supports PIP mode and is currently available only in the beta version. It is expected to be more widely available with the final release of the interface.
