Chinese company DeepSeek focuses on long-term artificial general intelligence development. Its founder, Liang Wenfeng, emphasized that the company prioritizes future innovation over immediate profits, while continuing to keep its latest models open source. Recently, the company launched its new model, DeepSeek-V4, which features improvements in understanding context and data analysis. This comes amid intense global competition, with a focus on overcoming the challenge of computational capacity, which involves accessing resources and developing chips. Despite U.S. export restrictions on semiconductor technology, the company has not been blacklisted and is working on building its own computing resources. Access to chips remains a significant challenge, and the company plans to develop its own AI chips in the future, as it continues refining its models for more efficient performance.
