Google has launched the "Selfie Video" feature for account recovery, which relies on recording a short video of the face to verify identity when access to the account is lost or traditional login methods cannot be used. The feature requires users to record the video in advance, and the system uses facial feature and head movement recognition through "liveness verification" technology to prevent fraud. This service serves as a backup option, allowing account recovery without relying on passwords or verification codes, although it is not currently available for all Google accounts, especially organizational or high-security accounts. Google employs strict security measures to protect data and may require additional verification steps if abnormal activity is detected. The aim of this feature is to enhance account recovery security and make the process easier, reducing dependence on conventional verification methods.
