Iran has reached an agreement to acquire shoulder-launched Chinese missile systems in order to strengthen its low-altitude defensive capabilities following losses sustained in the recent war. It is expected that within weeks, Iran will receive between 300 and 400 units of the "QW-12" and "F-N-16" models, which are short-range weapons launched by a single soldier. These systems do not require guidance radar, and they offer rapid response and precise targeting of low-flying targets at distances of approximately 4 to 6 kilometers. The purpose of these missiles is to enhance Iran’s small and mobile defense units, which are difficult for enemies to detect, providing a short-term layer of deterrence and forcing drones and military aircraft to avoid flying at low altitudes over key areas—especially after the air defense sites were hit during the recent conflict. China has denied the report's accuracy, while Iran continues to build on its previous experience with the "QW-12" systems to independently develop its defensive capabilities.
