WhatsApp is working on a new feature aimed at reducing clutter in the main chat list by automatically moving messages from large businesses to a separate folder called "Offers and Updates." The feature will retain these messages in the chat list for a limited period, currently tested at less than 24 hours, before automatically transferring them to the dedicated folder. The goal is to organize repetitive commercial conversations—such as discounts, shipping services, and bank alerts—and minimize their impact on the arrangement of personal chats. This new feature can be completely disabled from the settings, and users currently cannot set a custom duration. It is primarily targeted at large companies, with the potential to expand to smaller businesses in the future. This addition is part of WhatsApp's efforts to improve chat organization within the app, while ensuring that users can still access commercial message content when needed.
