Google Keep adds new feature
Google has begun rolling out a new feature within the Google Keep Notes app on Android devices. This feature allows users to directly search for specific words or phrases within a note, instead of manually scrolling through the text. The feature is called "Find in note," and it is gradually appearing for a limited group of users with version 5.26.301.00.90, with wider availability to follow. This enhancement helps in locating all instances of repeated words or phrases within a note, making it easier to review long content quickly and efficiently—especially in lengthy notes like lectures or work plans. Google previously indicated that this functionality was in development in 2025, then started gradually enabling it, relying on server-side activation to ensure stability. Additionally, Google is working on improving the toolbar interface within the app to make it easier to access content insertion tools and to update its design in accordance with Material Design principles. These features aim to make Google Keep more effective and user-friendly, particularly for those who store large amounts of textual information. The full update is expected to reach all users over the coming weeks once the gradual rollout process is complete.
