Samsung reduces cameras on Galaxy S27 Ultra

Samsung has announced its plan to release the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra with three rear cameras instead of four, marking the first time in the "Ultra" series that this change has been made. The device will omit the 3x optical zoom lens and will instead feature a main camera with 200-megapixel resolution, a 5x zoom lens with 50 megapixels, and a wide-angle lens. These adjustments come as part of the company's efforts to address rising manufacturing costs caused by the memory and processor shortages. Samsung justifies this move by aiming to reduce costs and strike a better balance in pricing, especially since the "Ultra" line is its best-selling series. This is the first time Samsung has removed the quad-lens setup from the "Ultra" phones, with a new Galaxy S27 family expected to be launched at its annual event scheduled for early next year.
