ColorOS 17 expands to more phones
Oppo announced the expansion of the closed beta phase for the ColorOS 17 interface based on Android 17. This phase includes a range of its smartphones and tablets in China and India, as well as devices from OnePlus and Realme. The goal of this move is to unify the software development process among the three brands, thereby helping to accelerate update releases, reduce bugs, and provide a consistent user experience. Devices participating in the testing are in China and the UAE, with registration open for participants through specific stages. Applicants must pass a qualifying test and sign a non-disclosure agreement. Oppo expects ColorOS 17 to feature design and animation improvements, along with AI-powered functionalities. However, the release date for the stable version has not yet been determined and will depend on final testing procedures before its official rollout.
