The article revolves around the efforts made by the United Arab Emirates to confront the evolving cyberattacks targeting the country's digital infrastructure. UAE defenses handle approximately 600,000 attacks daily—that’s about 25,000 attacks per hour or 416 attacks every second, according to official reports. The methods employed by attackers vary, including phishing, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, ransomware, zero-day vulnerabilities, and targeting digital supply chains. Despite the increasing and developing nature of these threats, the UAE affirms that its advanced digital infrastructure enables it to effectively counter these attacks without service interruptions or affecting residents' lives. The national strategy relies on early threat detection, investing in protective technologies, developing the capabilities of local personnel, educating them on security practices, and enhancing digital preparedness and resilience to safeguard the economy and vital sectors.
