The Yemeni cargo ship "Tihama" was attacked by the Houthis while sailing through the Bab al-Mandab Strait, resulting in the death of three crew members—among them Pakistanis and Indonesians—and injuring another ten. Additionally, parts of the ship were destroyed, and a fire was ignited on board. The attack, which targeted the vessel with missiles, caused significant material damage. During the rescue attempt, the Houthis struck the ship with another missile, killing two members of the National Resistance forces. Overall, the attack claimed the lives of eight people, including rescue team members. Yemeni coast guard forces managed to evacuate 11 sailors. The international community, the Yemeni government, and its partners condemned the attack, warning of threats to freedom of navigation and maritime security in the region.
