Google announced that its smart assistant app "Gemini" has surpassed one billion active monthly users, achieving this rapid growth in just five months after reaching 750 million users in the previous February. "Gemini" is primarily used on Android devices, with over 100 million users on iPhones. It is known for voice interaction, with 63% of users employing it through voice commands. Additionally, about 20% of users rely on the "Gemini Live" service to share visual content, and image design is widely popular, with more than 150 million images exported daily. The swift growth of "Gemini" faces strong competition from other AI applications such as ChatGPT, which also exceeded one billion users. However, Google demonstrates even faster growth, reaching the billion mark in just two months compared to four months for ChatGPT. This success comes amid expanding global AI platform markets, along with ongoing efforts to develop educational tools and technical improvements within the app.
