The article addressed Ethiopian statements regarding plans to build additional dams on the Blue Nile, aimed at controlling water flows into Egypt and Sudan. Egypt confirmed that these statements constitute a violation of international law and an attempt to impose control over the shared water resource. Egypt firmly opposed this, emphasizing that the Nile River belongs to the downstream countries and that consultation and cooperation among the nations are necessary.
