Two armed unmanned drones loaded with explosives, originating from the Iranian border, targeted the headquarters of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Masrour Barzani, as well as the residence of the head of the Protection Agency in Erbil. The Regional Counter-Terrorism Service stated that the attacks occurred in the early hours of Monday. The Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government condemned these attacks, considering them a serious escalation and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region. These attacks are part of the ongoing Iranian targeting of Kurdish and opposition Iranian sites, as the area continues to experience similar conflicts and acts of violence.
