Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 Update Adds New Features and Security Fixes
Google has released Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 update for eligible Pixel devices, introducing significant improvements to the user experience. These include a new quick settings editor, expanded color customization options, and enhanced blurring effects within the system interface. Additionally, there are enhancements to multitasking on foldable devices. A new security feature has been added to combat scams related to call forwarding via USSD codes, by analyzing the codes and restricting their use selectively, along with displaying a warning window when a code is entered manually to prevent fraud and call theft. The update also includes fixes for various technical issues and system stability improvements. Support is limited to Pixel 6a, the Pixel 7 series, and newer devices, excluding Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which are nearing the end of their support period.
