Xiaomi halts updates for certain devices
Xiaomi has announced the addition of six new devices to its End of Life (EOL) software support list, meaning they will no longer receive updates for the HyperOS system or periodic security patches. The devices added include: Xiaomi 12S Pro, Xiaomi 12 Lite, Redmi Pad SE, Redmi Note 12R, Redmi 12R, and Redmi 12 5G. Although the end of support does not immediately affect the devices' functionality, the lack of updates could expose them to security risks over time. Users are encouraged to upgrade to supported devices to ensure safety and to benefit from new features in the future.
