Reports reveal that Apple is working on developing future AirPods equipped with a camera lens that relies on optical artificial intelligence. This discovery is based on hidden code found in macOS 27 systems, and videos have emerged showing the headphones in use to demonstrate the system's ability to answer questions via the concealed camera. These new AirPods are expected to be released next year, coinciding with the launch of Apple's new AI system, "Apple Intelligence," in September, which will be launched alongside the new iPhone. However, this development has sparked widespread privacy concerns, as the cameras could potentially record without users' knowledge. This revives debates around smart glasses fitted with cameras and raises the possibility of bans on their use in certain places if the cameras are misused. To avoid such risks, Apple could rely on environmental sensors instead of cameras, but this might lead to delays in product release.
