Galaxy S24 gets stable One UI 9 update
Samsung has officially begun rolling out the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy S24 series, based on Android 17. The update starts in South Korea and is expected to expand to global markets over the following week, beginning October 12, 2026, with the timing of availability varying by region and carrier. The update is approximately 480 MB in size and includes security patches for September 2026, along with improvements to the user interface—particularly in the quick settings panel, which has become more flexible in terms of customization and organization. This update continues Samsung’s commitment to providing seven generations of OS updates for the series, helping to extend the software lifespan of the phones without the need for replacement.
