Iran discusses U S response on Strait reopening
Iran has sought to reopen the Strait of Hormuz after proposing to resume navigation within 7 days, provided that 7 conditions are met. These include ending the war, releasing frozen assets, and lifting the blockade and sanctions. Iran confirmed that it continues to monitor the American response through mediators and that it will not abandon diplomacy, but it has set strict conditions that the American side has yet to fulfill. These efforts come amid tensions between Iran and the United States, with Tehran viewing the lifting of the blockade and reopening of the strait as essential for regional stability.
