Tunisia is working on adopting its first national guide for combating animal rabies, aiming to align preventive and therapeutic measures with international scientific standards. This effort is part of initiatives to strengthen the disease surveillance and response system through a training course for veterinarians, aimed at standardizing intervention methods and improving the effectiveness of field actions. It has been observed that the number of cases in 2024 reached 466 in animals and 10 in humans, with 134 animal cases and one human case recorded up to April 2025. Dogs account for 67% of the cases.
