Swedish billionaire Roger Akelius announced his plan to build 400 schools in Gaza to accommodate 100,000 students, aiming to improve the level of education and meet the urgent needs of the besieged sector. This initiative is part of humanitarian efforts to provide education and healthcare for children despite the obstacles imposed by the Israeli occupation, supported by substantial donations from the Akelius Foundation to UNICEF, amounting to approximately $75 million. Sweden is the second-largest financial supporter of Gaza worldwide after the United Arab Emirates.
