Kaf to host Africa Cup finals

The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced the opening of bids to host the Africa Cup of Nations finals for the years 2028, 2032, and 2036. It called on the 54 member associations to submit their applications to organize the tournament. It explained that the selection process would be transparent and has implemented a framework in collaboration with independent experts to ensure credibility. This comes amid a large global viewership of the tournament, estimated at over 3.2 billion viewers worldwide. The 2027 edition will be held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from June 19 to July 17. CAF also reaffirmed its intention to organize a major national teams tournament annually, except in World Cup years.
