Initial judgment against ex-Justice Advisor

Today, the Court of Appeal in Tunis upheld the original ruling against a former advisor to the Minister of Justice, increasing his sentence from 5 to 8 years in prison, according to judicial sources. The defendant was convicted in March 2026 after being found responsible for a case of gross betrayal following a complaint from the Tunisian Association for Road Accident Prevention. He was dismissed from his position as a special envoy in the Minister's Office in July 2024.
