SONAD: Water outages in these states from tomorrow

The National Water Utility has confirmed that there will be temporary water outages daily in the Sousse, Monastir, and Mahdia governorates starting from July 5, 2026. These outages are due to ongoing completion of experiments at the Sousse seawater desalination plant and the high temperatures experienced during the summer, which have caused disruptions in the distribution of drinking water and tensions in the network. The shutdowns are carried out daily from midnight until 5 a.m. to ensure the filling of reservoirs and to supply subscribers during the remaining daytime hours. The company offers its apologies to citizens and urges them to conserve water during this period.
