Kairouan readies Sahabi Mosque for Mawlid and Rabea al-Thalatha

The city of Kairouan is working on preparing the Sahabi Mosque in readiness for the Mawlid (Prophet's Birthday) in August 2026. These efforts are part of initiatives aimed at improving the readiness of religious and heritage sites to receive visitors from various regions in a respectful manner and to promote the cultural and religious heritage, especially as thousands of visitors arrive annually at the graves of the companions and historical landmarks in the city.
