Al-Taraji Sport: Last-Minute Collapse of $1.5 Million Deal
The transfer deal of Brazilian winger Lucas Ribero from Mamelodi Sundowns to Espérance Tunis has been halted, after being close to completion at a value of $1.5 million. The postponement occurred due to his existing contractual relationship with Al-Ittihad Tripoli. Although the player wished to terminate his contract with the Libyan club and had reached a preliminary understanding with Ittihad officials, the latter reversed its stance at the last minute, preventing the finalization of the deal. The available information suggests that external interventions influenced the negotiations, leading to the complication of the case.
