Jendouba Landslides: Ministry Commits to Repairs
Heavy rains experienced in the Jendouba region over the past two days, which exceeded 50 mm in Aïn Draham and 45 mm in Tabarka, caused landslides on National Road 17 between the two cities. The slides resulted in part of the roadway collapsing and traffic coming to a halt. Regional Department of Equipment and the Local Disaster Response Committee intervened to clear the mud and rocks in order to reopen the road. The Ministry of Equipment and Housing is responsible for repairing these landslides and is currently in the tender phase of a maintenance project, which includes repair works at the landslides locations of Ain Bormershan and Ain Dhiba.
