GFA to decide Kiricos's future after Gambia loss
The Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroh's tenure with the Ghana national team has come to an end after a heavy defeat to Gambia, 4-2, in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for 2027. This was his last match with the team. The Ghana Football Association has decided to terminate the contractual relationship amicably, just a short time after he took over in April 2026. During his tenure, he oversaw seven matches and participated in the 2026 World Cup, where the team reached the knockout stage. The Ghanaian Football Association now needs to find a new coach to lead the national team in the upcoming phase of the qualifiers.
