Youssef Belaili receives FIFA fine
Youssef Belaili's case has resurfaced as the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) set a new hearing for November 10, 2026, in Lausanne, Switzerland, to review his appeal against his suspension by FIFA. Belaili was suspended for one year in March 2026 due to a dispute involving approximately 380,000 euros with French club Ajaccio. The situation escalated to include allegations of document forgery. Belaili’s appeal led to a temporary return to play with Tunisian club Espérance de Tunis, but the final decision to lift the suspension remains dependent on the legal proceedings, leaving his ultimate fate uncertain for now.
