Tunisie Telegraph: Grain Office Tightens Wheat Purchase Rules Amid Black Sea Disruptions
Reaffirming the suppliers' responsibility amidst the disruptions in the Black Sea, the Tunisian Grain Office tightened the conditions for wheat purchase in an international tender held on October 2, 2026. Approximately 100,000 tons were purchased, divided into four shipments from two companies, at estimated prices ranging between $358.29 and $383.92 per ton, with delivery dates set according to the source of each shipment. The Office emphasized that sourcing sources remain optional, and that suppliers are responsible for securing the quantities, even as Black Sea supplies have been halted due to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
